Executive Director Announced: Mehran Ahmed

The Board of Directors is excited to announce our new Executive Director for the 22-23 school year: Mehran Ahmed! A message from Mr. Ahmed is below.

AXL Academy Students, Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

My name is Mehran Ahmed and I am extremely honored to serve and lead the AXL

Academy as your next Executive Director. This will be my 16th year working in

education, and I have the opportunity to continue to serve the Aurora community. Over time I have developed the following core values; Respect, Trust, Service, and Humility. I have always believed all students should have equal access to engaging learning opportunities. I have a passion for students and a conviction to support all people in their growth in respective roles. As I think about AXL Academy I truly am inspired by the vision that we can Engage, Empower, and Achieve at a high level.

The school year is right around the corner and I know everyone is getting ready to come back to a school year that will be more consistent than the last few years. To help with this consistency I will be engaging our students, staff, and family on a listening tour to support the climate and culture for our school, support the professional development that are staff will engage in through the lens of expeditionary learning, and create a marketing and recruiting plan to support the growth for our students and our future students.
