Annual Enrollment Lottery
24-25 School Year
AXL selects its students by random lottery held in public on February 23, 2022. Only those students whose enrollment forms are completed in full and received before the enrollment form deadline are included in the lottery. Students whose enrollment forms are received after the lottery will be added in order of receipt to the existing class list or waiting list.
Waitlist
If the pool of students exceed the available openings during the lottery, the students who did not receive a position will be placed on the waitlist. If the lottery has passed and there are no available spaces for the designated grade level, your child will be placed on the waiting list in order of receipt following the lottery waiting list.
Sibling/Household Policy
AXL supports whole families to create a passionate and sustainable school community. Siblings of enrolled students receive priority enrollment pending completed enrollment forms received on time for the lottery.
Staff Policy
Children of AXL Staff receive priority admissions if the enrollment forms are completed and received by the designated deadline. These children may be enrolled regardless of the staff member's ongoing employment and will not exceed 20% of the school’s population. Employees’ children do not participate in the lottery.
District Policy
AXL is a public charter school authorized by Aurora Public Schools (APS) and an open enrollment school, like every other public school in Colorado. Priority enrollment is given to students who reside within the district. Enrollment is offered to students residing outside APS only as space permits.
