AXL Academy uses Expeditionary Learning as an instructional model to guide curriculum development and to inform instructional practices to engage scholars in active learning. AXL Academy empowers its teachers to develop the content and learning activities for their Expeditions while meeting Colorado's Academic Standards. Expeditions are long-term, interdisciplinary in-depth studies that offer real-world connections that inspire students towards conceptual understandings and academic success.
